Photographing a Haena Point elopement
Haena Point sits just a bit farther up the sand from Haena Beach, where much of my portfolio is photographed. It is a longer walk, but it is worth it: soft golden light, rolling surf and the green mountains of Kauai’s North Shore behind you. Vadim and Anna chose to elope here with no guests, just the two of them and a few quiet moments to themselves.
An elopement is all about the two of you, so I keep things relaxed and unhurried. I gently guide your poses, capture the vows and the little details like the bouquet and leis, and make sure there is time for portraits while the light is at its best.
