Where To Elope on Kauai
A wide sandy beach with green mountains behind it. Summer water is usually calm, and winter swells can be large, so I'll help you pick a date and time that works.

When the weather turned and we had to change our ceremony location last minute, he was so calm and made working with him seamless. Even though the weather was “rainy”, the photos turned out better than we could have imagined in the short session we had with him. Elopement collections start at $1,000 for one hour of coverage, with 60+ edited images and an online gallery. All prices include Hawaii GET. A second location is available for 2+ hours of coverage. Video is available as an add-on.

Most couples book 3 to 6 months ahead. Elopement dates are often flexible, and I often can accommodate if you ask on shorter notice.

All of my elopement packages include DLNR permits if we need them, but in general it depends on the beach, the park, and how many people are attending. I'll let you know what applies to the spot you choose. My guide to Kauai wedding permits explains the process step by step.

To be legally married in Hawaii, you need a Hawaii marriage license and an authorized officiant. If you are looking for an officiant, you can see several that I love working with on my recommended vendors page.

The ones couples ask for most are Hā’ena, Hanalei Bay, and Shipwreck Beach. If you’d rather be in the jungle, McBryde Gardens, Princeville Botanical Garden, and Kalihiwai Waterfall are popular too. Golden hour, the hour or so before sunset, gives off soft and warm light. Sunrise is another great option, and the beaches are usually much quieter. I can recommend a start time based on your date and location.

Rain is a part of Kauai, and showers often pass quickly and leave soft light and sometimes rainbows. I watch the forecast and bring weather-ready gear, and if we need to, we can change the time or location based on our availability.

Yes, an elopement can just be the two of you, or include up to 25 guests for public beaches. I also offer video add-ons to your package as well.
