Photographing a Kalihiwai waterfall wedding

Ross and Miriam chose the Kalihiwai waterfall on Kauai’s North Shore for their ceremony, surrounded by lush green foliage and the sound of falling water. The setting gave us a rich, tropical backdrop for portraits, bouquet details and quiet moments between the two of them.

After the ceremony, we moved to a second location in Hanalei for soft beach light and open views of the bay and mountains. Combining a waterfall with a beach gives a couple a wide range of photos from a single day, from intimate close-ups to wide, scenic portraits.
